If you go to daily Mass you will turn out to be one of the regulars and see the same people every morning. There is a Home-schooling mom who has a family of seven that come to Mass in the morning to begin their school day. She is often joined by her husband and this family, like so many, is having trouble finding work, and they have been praying for the husbands desire to return to school to achieve his calling. In the meantime the family "must be very careful." I can only assume that there are monetary issues. This mom is very proud of her husband, very supportive of his calling, very sure that God IS caring for them; she has no worries, but I am sure she does: every Mom worries when she feels as if she can not easily care for her children.
Everyday we hold each other up in the prayer of the faithful, those of us who are doing well wonder what can we do to help without stepping on toes. I have gone to say to her that if there is anything I can do, I am sure my hubby will support. She smiles and says: "Just keep us in your prayers."
For those of us who are blessed with enough to eat, enough to give to our children its our duty to share of our great "fragments left over" John 6: 12
